J: Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr - Sherlock, probably. I saw it all over the place and convinced my family to watch it with me when the rest of our shows were on hiatus. I think that Downton Abbey was another one I saw all over the internet (not just Tumblr) and decided to give a go. I didn’t watch Doctor Who because of Tumblr but I think I was more open to the idea of watching it when my friends suggested it than I would have been otherwise.
P - Invent a random AU for any fandom - You mean that AU where JKR’s new book is actually Harry Potter: All Grown Up? Damn it, I wish. Um. All right, given that it’s an Amanda-themed weekend, how about the AU where Jack refused to have anything to do with the Stargate program in CotG? Several years down the line, humanity has been enslaved by the Goa’uld, and it’s only through his military training and sheer determination that he’s escaped becoming a host. On the run, blaming himself for having refused the initial offer to return, and losing hope, he runs into an old friend - one he thought was lightyears away, on Abydos. With him are two unfamiliar soldiers, a supposedly loyal Jaffa and an intriguing blonde woman who’s smarter than everyone Jack’s ever met combined. They have a plan to put things right, but they need his help. Can he trust them, especially when Carter reveals that she’s host to a symbiote called Jolinar? Can their insane plan (involving breaking into Cheyenne Mountain, reversing time, and something about a mirror) actually work? (Spoilers: Yes.)
Y - A fandom you’re in but have no ships from - Oooh, that’s a tough one. I think I have ships in just about everything, even if they’re pretty minor. Downton Abbey would probably be the closest, because while I like the canon ships and ship Carson/Hughes to an extent, there are no major feelings involved one way or another (mostly because I don’t think C/H will ever happen and don’t want to get invested).
